Management and Governance

The Alberta Ingenuity Centre for In Situ Energy’s management and governance structure provides financial and research accountability and fits within the governance structure of the University of Calgary.

Management Advisory Board
AICISE LabThe MAB is composed of representitives from each industry member whose main objective is to direct  the scope of the Centre's core program while providing advice and counsel, and reviewing the Centre's progress and goals. They provide strategic advice and guidance and act as the final decision makers on the Centre's role and other areas of development.

Centre Director
The Centre Director is responsible for providing scientific leadership and direction to the Centre, overseeing the operations of the Centre and the scientific and technical conduct of the research undertaken through the Centre.

Centre General Manager
The Centre General Manager reports directly to the Centre Director, and also to the Board. The Manager’s role is to direct the business and management of the Centre, and provide leadership and direction for all of the Centre operations. The Centre General Manager ensures control of and accountability for day-to-day activities related to the Centre initiatives, and globally administers the Centre’s resources (human and financial). The Manager is supported by a Project Coordinator and an Administrative Assistant.

Combustion TubeTechnical Advisory Committee
This group includes members from industry, government and other research institutions which reflect the multi-sector and multidisciplinary nature of the Centre research program. The Committee which consists of internationally recognized experts, plays a key role in reviewing the Centre’s progress and provides input on scientific strategy, international opportunities, and trends in the various disciplines.
