Technology Transfer

As technology transfer and commercialization opportunities arise, the Alberta Ingenuity Centre for In Situ Energy works with the University of Calgary Research Services Office and its commercialization arm, University Technologies International Inc. (UTI), to maximize their benefits to Alberta.

All Intellectual Property is handled under the University of Calgary’s rules and requirements for commercialization.

The core group of Centre investigators hold more than 16 patents, and have participated in numerous spin-off businesses, research groups and institutes. Members of the Centre frequently provide consulting services to international companies.

Alberta Ingenuity Centre for In Situ Energy and its partners will commercialize suitable software, instrumentation, bio/nanocatalysts, chemical sensors and process methods/technologies as a natural extension of the Centre’s research activities.
